Grace Irvine - Counsellor

Holding a Master of Counselling with first class honours, I work with all ages and specialise with children, teens and young adults who are struggling. This might be you, or you might be the parent of a child who, you can see, is struggling and you want to help, but don’t know how – when you try to help things might get worse. Counselling works because it is a confidential space for people to work through what is challenging them, with a professional who sincerely cares but is not connected to their daily life. Challenges can come from anywhere; the loss of a loved relative, a health condition, problems at school or work, depression, anxiety, trauma, bullying, attacks on dignity, abuse, or simply being spoken to in unhelpful ways.

So if you are a parent feeling overwhelmed and worried for your young person. Or if you are someone in need of a counsellor to offer a safe and confidential conversation then please contact me.

A little about me:

I have had a passion for helping people since I was young. This passion led me to some vibrant parts of the world where being apart of people’s growth gave me meaning and purpose.

I was particularly drawn to counselling because of my helpful counselling experience working through grief as a teenager. During my Masters, I counselled at multiple grief support agencies.

Since completing study, I have counselled teenagers and adult staff in school for six years and have eight year’s experience working with children with special needs. I have helped hundreds of young people make sense of their world and journeyed with them towards rebuilding self-esteem, feeling safer, more confident and equipped with skills for life.
